I have a separate FAQ for plushies, so if your question pertains to a plush, click here!

Q: Are your [plushie, digital art, customs, etc.] commissions open right now?

A: You can check on my profile page to find out! I have periodic times that I open, so I can't really define dates. I often announce commissions opening in journals around a week in advance, then have them open for a few days to give people time to put their name in. If you are infrequently on da or simply just don't like to keep up with such things, I have consideration lists that you can put your name on for commissions of all kinds! They're not "wait lists" in that you're guaranteed a spot, but rather your name is on my list to be considered for a commission whenever I open. Check the commission info of your desired commission (digital, plush, toy, adopt) for more details!

Q: Where can I find your commission information?

A: You must have missed it! It's right below my F.A.Q. button. Click here!

Q: What other accounts do you have?

Q: Can we be friends? We should chat!

A: While I'm a super open and friendly person, friendships develop over time, not spontaneously. A comment here, a question there, etc is how to develop a friendship. But, if there's anything I hate, it's artificially generated conversation. Unless you're already my friend, PLEASE don't comment/note me with "What's up?" Or "So, what are you up to?" Or "Hello!" Because it ALWAYS goes the same way:
Person :bulletorange: "Hi!"
Me :bulletblue: "Hello!"
:bulletorange: "How are you?"
:bulletblue: "Good. How are you?"
:bulletorange: "Fine."
:bulletblue: "That's nice."
:bulletorange: "So, what are you up to?"
:bulletblue: "Not much... Just studying."
:bulletorange: "That's cool!"
:bulletblue: "Mmhmm..."
:bulletorange: "So..."
:bulletblue: "Yeah?"
:bulletorange: "Oh, nothing,"
:bulletblue: "Okay."
:bulletorange: "Lol."
:bulletblue: ^^;
:bulletorange: :D
And so on. If you message me in whatever way, it really should have a purpose. Even if it's just, "Hey, just wanted to let you know, I REALLY like the piece you just uploaded!" It's worlds better than a random "hello" from a stranger.

That being said, if you want to talk about something not art related in particular, whether it's a rant about your frustrating day, or you need some comfort and are not sure who to turn to, I'm always here. Those types of conversation have a point and purpose, and I love to help and listen.

My whole point is, I love to talk, but wait to strike up a conversation at an appropriate time. Don't force one "just because."

Q: Can we do an art trade?

A: I have some policies regarding art trades, and procedures for accepting them when they're open, so make sure you check out my Art Trade Guidelines when you can!

Q: What program do you use to draw/vector?

A: I use an app called Procreate. I work solely on an iPad, using only simple capacitive styli. The only exception to this is my pixel sprites. For those, I use CS6 (when I have access to it!) Also, I actually don't make vectors at all! It's just the clean, smooth, lines with which I draw that make them look like vectors. My works that look like vectors are actually just high res .PNG files.

If you'd like to see draw video of my creative process, check this youtube video out:

For you Procreate users out there, 99% of my linework is done using the Studio Pen tool. For lines that need to have the same consistency throughout (i.e. hair detail lines), I use the technical pen tool (with modified hardness). I have a few brushes I've created myself that I use for things like Appaloosa spots and randomized freckles, as well as "trails" of more defined shapes such as leaves and sparkles.

Q: Do you take requests?

A: I take requests VERY infrequently. Only when I have nothing going on (which hasn't been in 6 months!) They're just sketches when I do take them.

Q: Can I turn one of your images into a base/trace it and use it as lineart for [insert purpose here]?

A: I'm sorry, but no. I've had issues in the past, namely with the use of the traced image for other purposes after it was made (i.e. in reference sheets/collabs/adopts/etc.) Somewhere along the way, it inevitably happens that my name dissociates from the linework, and someone else gets full credit for something I did most of the work for. I appreciate you like the image so much, and feel free to use it as inspiration or a reference for a pose, but don't trace my work, whether you give me credit or not, please.

Q: Can you donate some points to me, PLEASE?!

A: Sorry, I generally save around 90% my points up to do giveaways and contests! The other 10% is for me to commission others.

Q: How much do you charge for trot sprite icons?

A: Unfortunately, I don't do those on commission. I used to, but I was unaware that the Desktop-Pony-Team had asked no one take commissions for them. I got in quite a bit of a mess with one of the members of the team for offering commissions! Furthermore, they take about 4-6 hours of work a piece (at least to do thoroughly), so I cannot do them for requests either. Sorry.

Q: How much are your [dress, plushie, custom adopts, etc] commissions?

A: I redirect you to my Commission Information. All the information you need is there!

Q: Do you do NSFW commissions?

A: Depending on the nature of it, I tend to find drawing naughty things kind of fun, but only SFW versions (if possible given the subject) go in my gallery. NSFW versions will be uploaded to st.ash, and things against dA policy will have to be uploaded elsewhere.

Q: You didn't answer my question!

A: If I'm missing something here, or you have a more specific question, please feel free to comment or note me! If it's a good one, I might add it to the F.A.Q.!
